About Daena
Daena is an Occupational Therapist who graduated from the University of Sydney in 1993. She has worked for the last 31 years in NSW Health in clinical, senior leadership and managerial roles across a number of facilities. Throughout her career Daena has worked in acute care, sub-acute care, rehabilitation, palliative care and community settings, and has specialised in home assessments, home modifications, complex equipment prescription, falls prevention and pressure care management.
Daena has managed large teams of Occupational Therapists and has been responsible for service delivery and clinical performance. She has also worked more recently in clinical governance and risk, patient safety and quality, and accreditation roles. She is currently a nationwide assessor of health facilities for the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards.
Daena is highly professional and enjoys working and communicating with clients, families and care providers to achieve their goals and improve independence and safety in their home environment.
Daena also provides clinical support and supervision to other Occupational Therapists.
